HeyCarat Terms of Use

Effective November 3, 2026

These terms are between you and Brilliancestone LLC, a Texas limited liability company that operates HeyCarat ("HeyCarat", "we", "us"), for the HeyCarat app. By using the app you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use it.

Using the app

HeyCarat lets you browse diamonds and gems, check the estimated price of a piece of jewelry, and buy stones and custom rings. You must be old enough to form a binding contract where you live. Please use the app lawfully and keep any details you give us accurate.

Estimates are not appraisals

Prices from Value and similar tools are estimates based on market data and automated analysis. They are not certified appraisals and not a promise of what a piece is worth, or what you could sell or insure it for. For insurance, resale or legal purposes, use a qualified appraiser.

Stones, prices and stock

The diamonds and gems shown come from suppliers. Prices, availability and exchange rates can change, and a stone can sell before you order. The price you pay is the one shown at checkout. If an item turns out to be unavailable, we will tell you and refund anything you paid for it.

Orders and payments

Payments are processed by Stripe. By placing an order you confirm the delivery details you entered are correct. An order is held at its shown price for a short time; if it is not paid in that time it closes. Taxes, duties and shipping are shown or explained at checkout where they apply. Refunds and returns are covered in "Refunds and returns" below.

Deposits and custom orders

Custom ring orders are made to your choices and may ask for a deposit now and the balance later. The deposit and balance are shown before you pay. Custom items may not qualify for the usual return rights because they are made specially for you. Deposit, cancellation and refund terms are in "Refunds and returns" below: the deposit is fully refundable until we tell you work on your order has started, and not refundable after that. Production and delivery times shown are estimates.

Refunds and returns

• Custom ring orders. Your deposit is fully refundable until work on your order has started. Once we tell you that work has started, the deposit is not refundable.
• Loose diamonds and gemstones. Fully refundable if returned within 30 days of delivery, unworn and in the condition you received them, with the original certificate (such as the IGI report) and packaging. We refund your original payment method once we receive and check the stone. We provide a prepaid, insured return label.
• Finished custom pieces made to your design cannot be returned, except for defects in workmanship.
• Subscriptions and check packs bought in the app are handled by Apple's refund process. Apple's page is reportaproblem.apple.com.
• To start a refund, email contact@heycarat.com.

Subscriptions and purchases through Apple

• HeyCarat Plus is an auto-renewing subscription (monthly or yearly) bought through Apple. The yearly plan may include a 7-day free trial for eligible Apple IDs.
• Payment is charged to your Apple ID. The subscription renews automatically unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
• Manage or cancel any time in your Apple ID settings (Settings, your name, Subscriptions). Deleting the app does not cancel it. If you cancel during a free trial, you can use Plus until the trial ends.
• Check packs are one-time purchases. Prices are shown in the app by Apple. Refund requests for Apple purchases are handled by Apple.
• Plus includes a fair-use monthly allowance of checks, as described in the app.

Acceptable use

Do not misuse the app. That includes: breaking the law; submitting photos or links you have no right to use; trying to get around free-check limits, payments or security; scraping the app or its data; interfering with our servers; or reselling the app's results as your own service.

Our content

The app, its design and its content belong to us or our licensors. You may use them personally as the app allows. The photos you submit remain yours; you let us and our analysis service use them to provide your check.

Disclaimers

The app is provided "as is" and "as available". We try to keep it accurate and running, but we cannot promise it will always be error-free, available, or that every price and listing is current.

Limit of liability

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for loss from relying on an estimate. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing here limits rights you have by law that cannot be limited.

Changes and ending

We may update these terms or the app. We will change the date above when we do, and continued use means you accept the update. We may suspend access if you break these terms. You can stop using the app at any time.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, United States, without regard to its conflict rules, and any dispute will be handled in the courts of Texas, unless the law where you live says otherwise.
